The white paper entitled “Assesment of Waterpower Potential and Development Needs” indicates that “As a conservative estimate in 2025 there will be an increase in the capacity for hydraulically generated power of 23.000MW, divided between 10.000MW from conventional hydraulic power, 3.000MW from new hydrokinetic technologies and 10.000MW from wave energy”.
